In the Tumanako Team we have been getting into "the daily mile". Each day we stop what we are doing and go and run/walk for 15 minutes. Its been fun so far and a number of students are able to complete the 3 laps of the track that means they have run at-least a mile. www.thedailymile.co.uk
In the Tumanako Team this term we are learning about the Trinity. We all had S'mores to start the learning off. All three elements of a s'more are yummy. But when combined together they make something even better. Just like the Trinity.
The end of term parable competition was a great success! I loved seeing all the Year 5 and 6 students getting involved!
All the Tumanako classes were able to visit Temanawa the term to participate in the Fizzing and Foaming workshop. Eating dehydrated icecream was delicious!
As part of our learning about "Strange Liquids" we have done science experiment testing the viscosity of different liquids by racing marbles through them. A great opportunity to learn about repeating a test and fair testing.
We have had a Maths expert at school this year doing training with the teachers. Here she is doing a model lesson in Room D6. Lots of deep thinking going on!
